      Barbara E. Bocock Died Tuesday, September 15, 2009
      Barbara Eggleston Bocock, 77, of 1018 Morningside Lane, Martinsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville.
      She was born on Oct. 6, 1931, in Henry County to Morris A. and Ida Mae Ingram Eggleston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ray Bocock.
      She was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church. She graduated from Fieldale High School and attended James Madison University, Patrick Henry Community College and Virginia Western Community College.
      She retired from DuPont with more than 32 years of service and had worked for Green's Gallery and Right Mark Realtors as a real estate agent. She was a co-owner with her husband of an advertising design and printing business.
      Surviving are her son, Kenneth Ray Bocock of the home; a daughter, Kathy Bocock Divers of Clemons, N.C.; a brother, T. Stephen Eggleston of Fredericksburg; a sister, Anne Gore of Newark, Del.; and four grandchildren.
      A private graveside service was held Saturday at Roselawn Burial Park with Chaplain Bonnylee Witt officiating.
