DEEDS 8 Sept 1796 - John Wesley and wife Agatha sold to James Anderson Glenn 130 acres for 65 pounds on South side of Dan on Licking Creek boonded by Fanny Turner, Anthony Powell, John Wylie, Robert Stanfield Note: In July 1798 Agatha Wesley signed her conscent to this transaction. This is the last record we have of Agatha. This family name is usually spelled Wesley in the early records, but later it was sometimes Westley. Carmel, d. 1875 in Halifax Co, VA) to John Wesley and Agnes/Agatha Powell (I do have names of others in Agnes's family, but John is a mystery) Paul Wesley married Elizabeth Williamson, and they had 6 children - Clementine, John R, Agnes, Caroline, Charles, and Eliza. All were born in Halifax County, Virginia john Wesley, b. 1755 in Halifax, Va.,d. 1850, Halifax, Va, he was 95 years old at death. He married on Feb 14,1786, Halifax , Va. He was 35 years old at marriage. He was in the revolutionary war, and was a pvt. He received a pension in 1884, in va. 119u, S.C.infantry. John is buried at Arlingtion National Cemetery, in Arlington Va. lot #15593. pvt.co.b 32 regiment. Wesley Family Agnes birth as 11-3-1765, daughter of Charles Powell and Sarah Gholson.
