      Frank enjoyed fishing in the nearby Snake

      catching Salmon, Steelhead and Sturgeon.

      ! When Frank was six, he and his brothers and sister were
      placed in an
      orphanage in Thomasville, North Carolina. At age 15, the
      children were removed
      by their step father, James McNiell, and he moved them to
      Asotin, Washington.
      Frank had great admiration for his step father. (According

      from Atha Ledford, wife, 1992).
