John Thomas Harwell, aged 77, died yesterday afternoon at the Confederate Home. He was born in Texas in 1840, and served in the war as a member of Company A, Fifth Texas Cavalry, Green's Brigade, Trans-Mississippi army. He was admitted to the home from Eddy, Texas, in May 1910.
