      Hi Mary Frances,
Thank you for your reply. I'm working on a currently unpublished tree on Ancestry.com My father did a lot of research before his untimely death in 1989, mostly on our Taylor line.
My ancestor on your site that I can give you more information on is Mary (Polly) McClanahan (8 Feb 1795-4 Apr 1859--buried at McCorkle cemetery, Taylor's Bend, Jefferson County, Tennessee) who married Elisha Moore (1793-1834). Their daughter Sarah Ann Moore (1824-1893) married Parmenas Taylor (1821-1893), and their son Hugh Lawson White Taylor (1852-1928) was my second great-grandfather.

As I said, my father did the most work on the Taylor line, which he traced back from Parmenas (1821-1893) to Willis (1798-1859) to Col. Parmenas (1753-1827) to William (c. 1730-1760) to Aaron (died before 1751) to Lazarus (b. 1667) to the immigrant John Taylor (born about 1627 in England-1702). John Taylor married Alice Gaskins, whose father Thomas Gaskins is included in Adventurers of Purse and Person, Virginia 1607-1624/5 (John Frederick Dorman, ed.).

I don't think we share any DNA, but we definitely share some lines on our family trees!
