      Description: William Halley, the son of Francis and Ann Halley was not on the 1830 census. He died between 1803-1808 either in Bedford Co., Virginia, or on the way to Tennessee.

      The last record I have for William is from 14 December 1802, when he acquired land with Jesse Hicks:

      William Halley died before his father Francis Halley wrote his will -- 28 June 1808 -- but William's heirs (unnamed)were mentioned in the will: " Item I give to the Heirs of my son William Halley decd. One Dollar his having already received his proportion of my estate." (Last Will and Testament of Francis Halley, Bedford Co., VA, Will Book 4, p. 100, signed 28 June 1808, proved 23 August 1813)
