Memoir of Henry Armitt Brown, 1880 "James Browne came over in the 'Kent' and laid out the town of Brulington, New Jersey toward the latter part of 8th mo. 1677" "in 1679, from the same source "James Browne married Honour Clayton in the primitive meeting house made of a sail taken from the "Kent", it being the first marriage recorded in the state of NJ. He removed from Burlington into the wilderness dying at Nottingham PA in 1716.
