NC Death: 4 Sep 1961, Danville, Pitts. Co., Va. Mattie Moore and her twin brother James were born in Rockingham County, North Carolina on June 28, 1884. She was the daughter of James S. Moore and Martha Jane Griffin Moore. She was married to Walter Franklin McFarling of Caswell County, North Carolina and lived with him there until they moved to Danville, Virginia around 1911. They had one son together, James Malloy McFarling Sr. Mattie died in Danville and was buried next to Walter in the McFarling family cemetery in Blanch, North Carolina.
