  • Notes  Married:
    • Best Man for his only son was Samuel Lovelace Reynolds. One groomsman for his first cousin also born on the same day was Forrest Lee Moses, Jr., his 1st cousin. They were born on the same day, 4 hours apart.

Joe & Sue both attended University of William and Mary, met and married soon after graduation.

Joe was recruited by Travelers Insurance Co. while still in college and remained an employee for his entire working life. He began his career in sales and ultimately was manager of group sales. He retired shortly before his death.

Joe died from adenocarcinoma. His diagnosis was made six months before he died. The doctors said that this type of cancer is very slow growing and may have been present for as long as 20 years and by the time it is discovered there is no way to tell where the cancer started.

He enjoyed sports, played golf and put himself through William & Mary on a tennis scholarship. His involvement with tennis was a result of his therapy when he was recovering from polio. The "serve" in tennis exercised both his arm and leg that was affected by the polio.
