Robert Lee Snow
Looking for a descendant of Abram N. Parrish who can critique what I've compiled. Born about 1826, he enlisted in the 21st Virginia Infantry in 1862. Here's what I have on him: Abram N. Parrish, March 1826. Parents Abraham(1811) and Cassandra Ann Reynolds(1815). Abram married Martha D. Giles 9/20/1845, and they had a short-lived son James E. Parrish on 2/1/1854. James would not appear in 1860 census. Family was shown on page 53, Swansonville, north Pittsylvania in 1860. Wife Martha(1831) and children John A. Parrish(1848) and Mary E. Parrish(1850) in record. Abram and Martha had another short-lived son, Crittendon, born on 9/1/1860. He would not be shown in subsequent censuses. Abram was on Company I?s roster in 1862. Son Robert Brown Parrish, was born 4/6/1869, but did not appear in next census. Robert would be shown in the 1900 census. The foursome of Parrishes from 1860 were living north of Dan River in 1870, with additional son William(1869) in the home. Son John married Angelina Davis(1852) in 1878, and the couple had 4 children. By 1900 in Tunstall, Abram?s wife Martha had passed away, and John?s wife Angelina had passed as well. The men were living together, and Abram?s daughter Mary E. Parrish, Abram?s son Robert, and John?s son John W. Parrish(1883), and daughter Rosa(1881) were in the home as well. Abram is listed here as born in March of 1816, but I believe that should be March of 1826. Son John remarried to Missouri Wilson(1862) in Pittsylvania on 2/13/1902, and had 4 children with Missouri. John and family lived in the Danville area.
