A WORD REGARDING HALIFAX, NORTH CAROLINA AND HALIFAX, VIRGINIA

William T.5 Carter is identified by his Revolutionary War Pension application which names his brother, Francis.
Many other researchers have been 'thrown off' and misidentified William of Halifax, VA as another William of Prince Edward. Halifax County Virginia is located very near the Virginia-North Carolina border. Many residents called Halifax, Virginia "Halifax North Carolina" The Pension Application identifies Halifax North Carolina, but the actual residence is in VIRGINIA. The real Halifax, North Carolina is not located in any proximity near, Halifax, Virginia. Documentation of these family members is found in Halifax, Virginia.-[mfe-2017]
