William Green is shown on the 1850 Census with his father's family. He is married to Susan H. Gravitt that year and will be dead before the 1860 Census Records are taken. The 1860 Census shows Paul Green's family adjacent to Mary Powell's family and nearby is an Elizabeth Warren presumed to be Paul's sister-in-law.

William N. GREEN was born about 1826 in NC. He died before 1 June 1860 at the age of 34. It is unknown when and where William died. His daughters are living with his wife's brothers William James Gravitt & John King Gravitt in the 1860 Halifax co VA census. Parents: Nathaniel Paul GREEN and Martha "Patsy" WARREN.

Spouse: Susan H. GRAVITT. Susan H. GRAVITT and William N. GREEN were married on 24 December 1850 in ,Person, NC. NC Marriage Bondes, 1741-1868, ancestry.com, bond #000107670, Bondsman: Rich' Powel, witness: Obadiah Faulkne Children were: Sallie Fannie GREEN, Martha Susan GREEN.

Birth:
1850 VA Census Halifax Co. HH 810 shows the Gravitt Children of John Archer and Sallie Blackwell Gravitt. It appears that both parents are deceased and the children are living with Jane Gravit age 40. This would make Jane the right age to be a sibling of John Archer Gravitt. These children are living next door to Henry Blackwell, presumed to be the brother of Salie Blackwell, mother of these children.

Notes:

There continues to be an absence of documentation for the parentage of Paul Green. I once believed he must belong to Anthony; I now theorize that he is the son of one of Anthony's Sisters. Each of Berryman & Ann Pritchard Green's daughters married after Nathaniel's birth; Ann Pritchard Green, Berryman's daughter, married 12 Jul 1805, John Barksdale and eventually moved to DeKalb, MS. The 2nd daughter of Berryman and Ann, Lucy married Stephen Davenport in Oct 1804; 3rd Daughter, Hannah Jones Green is said to have never married, but was 'of age to have a child' in 1803 when Paul Green was born. He lived and died in Halifax Co., Virginia, among his neighbors and other members of his family. The Carters, Gravitts, Warrens, Greens, Blackwells. He is buried in his Son's Family Cemetery.

Paul Green and Patsy Warren had 7 children by the 1840 census. 3 [2 boys, 1 girl] under 5, 2 [1 boy and 1 girl] 10-14, and 1 daughter age 15-19. They had been married about 17 years at this time. The eldest daughter is probably AVA, shown on the 1850 and 1860 Census.
