    Born in Berks County, Pennsylvania Colony. Moved to Rowan
    (now Davidson) County, North Carolina with parents. Was
    confirmed in 1778 at Pilgrim Church. He was appointed
    constable in 1796 and justice of Court of Pleas & Quarter
    Sessions. Moved to Gibson County, Indiana where he married
    his second wife, Elizabeth DEVIN Clement. They moved to
    Washington County, Indiana where he made his will; leaving
