HOWARD LEROY BAKER:, Sr., age 80, of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away Saturday, January 22, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Baker moved to this area 13 years ago from Elkton, Maryland. He was a retired U.S. Navy Aircraft Mechanic and was a veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a member of VFW. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Hash. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, June Baker of Panama City Beach; four children, Penny Karnes and husband Robert of Chesterfield, VA, Candy Walton and husband Tim of North East, MD, Mary Pridgen and husband Steve of Enterprise, AL, and Howard Baker, Jr. and wife Pam of Newark, DE; one sister, Betty Lou Allgower and husband Ken of San Bernardino, Ca.; two half sisters, Rose E. Hiles and Janet M. McMullen; one half brother, Wallace Reynolds; and six grandchildren. Mr. Baker will be taken to The Asbury Methodist Cemetery in Port Deposit, MD for interment at a later date. Married Fannie Potts Whiteman. They are buried together.

Leroy married Esther Ida Cosner Unknown, Mariage Record not found. Esther was born 25 Jun 1902, Maryland; died 20 Sep 1971, Coatesville, Pennsylvania; was buried , North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, Maryland. [Group Sheet]

Comments (Janet Reynolds b. Est 1910 Maryland d. Yes, date unknown): In looking at the children of Esther Id Cosner & Wallace Reynolds I noticed that the birth dates are wrong. Esther was my grandmother.
Janet Marie Reynolds was b 10-12-1942 and is still living.
Rosalie Eleanor Reynolds was b 3-9-1944 and d 9-9-2013 in Gordonville,Texas.

You are also missing my mother Betty Lou Baker (b 6-12-1934)who is Esther's daughter by Leroy Passmore Baker. She and Howard Baker were brother & sister. Betty was a stepdaughter to Wallace Worrell Reynolds and was in his household as a baby when he married Esther Ida .
