The mother of Jane Gass is Mary Polly Collins. Her father and grandfather were named John. There is a John Collins that shows up in one of these Carter's deed's. Mary Polly Collins is buried close to the gravestone for the Presley Carter that died in 1840 in Dandridge. Peyton Carter first married Elizabeth Eudaley, she died and he married her sister Lucinda in 1835. A Mrs Elizabeth Carter died in 1835 and is buried in the same cemetery.
