Richard Perrin received a patent on 14 Mar 1672 for 740 acres, 1 rod, 24 perches. [Va Patent Bk 6:445]. 474 acres of this wa s called "World's End" and had been granted Mathew Edlow on 2 Oct 1656. In 1691, he deeded t o Thomas Farrar and Katherine, his wife (who was said Richard's daughter) 256 acres of "World' s End" "where I now live" bounded by the [James] River and William Ballow. In his will date d 16 Mar 1694/5, Richard Perrin bequeathed "my house and land commonly called "World's End" , 400 acres with 200 acres fronting river, to my dear wife Katherine for life, and at her death to daughter Sarah. . . ." This daughter Sarah married William Cocke 2 Dec 1695. William Cocke made his will 5 Nov 1717 and left "all my lands" to his son William.
