    Daniel 20 May 1671. Daniel. His wife ref to as 'Granny Neale' accused by Edward Coles of bewitching his Wife. The depositions in this case are among the most absurd that appear in Virginia records. 16.181

'my Mother in Law Mrs. Patience -'. Brother in Law Jno Cockrill. To 'my' Elizabeth dau of sd Jno Cockrill silver spoons marked D.N. To Andrew Cockrill 1000 lb tobacco for looking after him in sickness. Balance of est to be divided equally betw his own natural brothers and sisters. "my Cousin Mr. Christopher Neale' sole exor. Wit: Ann White, Eliz Amey and Jas Robert. The will recorded 16 Sep 1719 by Richard Lee.

    Daniel Neal's daughter, Hannah ( d. 10/9/1722) md. James Carter (1684-10/24/1743 Overwharton Parish register, Stafford Co., VA) James carter was the son of Thomas Carter, Sr. of lancaster Co., VA and Katherine Dale.

    Old family records reveal the following:
    Lieutenant Daniel Neale married Ellen. A date of 1659 is given. This may be when they sailed from England.

    Christopher Neale was born to them in 1644, he died in 1691. Christopher married Hannah Rodman and bore:

    Presley Neale, died 1749, Fairfax County, VA,who married Margaret and bore:

    Richard Neale , died 1816, he was born prior to 1743 and married Frances Underwood prior to 7/7/1767. Their child:

    Thomas Neale, born 1774; died 1834, married Margaret Winn and bore:
    Harriet Neale, born 9/12/1793; died 6/22/1822. Harriet married John Hardin Neal,
    5/11/1820 and bore:
    Virginia Neal, born 12/12/1810;died 10/3/1849. She was my great great grandmother

    He is already married in 1668. Christopher signed Witness on Deed of sale to Dan; and wife Hellen/Ellen 21 Nov 1669. Christopher is probably his brother.

    There is no evidence that this John Neale is the Father of Brothers Christopher and Daniel Neale. John Neale and wife Elizabeth are found in records of Accomac. He is taxed for a 'boat', and travels across the Bay.... It is likely that he is related, if not their Father.
