    FINAL RITES FOR COLE MINTER. Final rites for Obediah Coleman Minter, 80, who passed away early Saturday morning at his home on Moss street following several months illness, were held from the late residence Sunday afternoon. Interment was made in Oakwood Cemetery. The deceased, a prominent citizen and farmer of Henry county, resided near Axton until about ten years ago, when he retired from active duty and located in Martinsville. Surviving are his wife and the following children: Ernest C. and Albert K. Minter of Beckley, W. Va.; Lynn Minter, Kingsport, Tenn.; Basil Minter, Roanoke; Mesdames Claude Jarrett, Besoco, W. Va., and G. Cabell Turner, Axton. One brother, Leftridge Minter of Axton and two sisters, Mesdames Billie Devans of Roanoke, and Lee Slaydon of Ruffin, N.C., also survive. Among the out-of-towns relatives and friends attending the last rites were as follows: Dr. W. R. Devans, Mrs. Fannie Devans, Roanoke; Mrs. Jack Lindsey, Mrs. Anna Minter, Christianburg; Charles Minter, Fincastle; Mrs. Jack Palmer, Mrs. J. A. Jarrett, Salem; Mr. and Mrs. W. I.
