Obituary for Gerald E. Roth
Gerald E. Roth, 65, of Downingtown, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 6, 2015, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Susan R. Arters Roth, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late William H. Sr., and Betty Ann Charsha Roth.
Gerald was currently working as a machinist for Cigas Machine Shop in Coatesville, where he had been employed for the past 48 years.
He enjoyed collecting and working on antique cars and was a member of the Chester County Antique Car Club. He was also a member of Penn-Dutch Sportsmen?s Club in New Holland.
In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by his two daughters, Shannon M. Roth and Dana M. Hutton and her husband, Rich. He is also survived by his brother, William H. (Pat) Roth, Jr.; a sister, Betty Adams; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, where family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the charity of one?s choice.
