Ruby Mae Reynolds Riddle, 98, of Eden, NC, died on Friday, June 13, 2008, at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church of Draper with Pastor Sue Anne Morris officiating. Interment was at the Overlook Cemetery. She was born in Floyd County, Virginia, to the late Claude H. and Lucy Bowles Reynolds. She was a past employee of Fieldcrest Mills in Draper, having worked as a part-time office worker, inspector in the Safety Committee and was in charge of the First Aid Department. Mrs. Riddle was a volunteer at Morehead Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Draper Women's Club. She was a devoted member of the First Methodist Church, Draper, where she was honored with a Life Membership Certificate in the WSCS, and a gold pin. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, William M. (Bill) Riddle, in 2000. Mrs. Riddle is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Viola Dillon of Northfield, New Jersey, and Mrs. Jewel Osborne of Carrollton, Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
