      Prince Edward Co., Virginia DB1/145b. 25 Apr, 1761 from Peter Davis of Prince Edward, to Thomas Green of Prince Edward for 40 pounds, all that one certain tract or plantation of land in Prince Edward and bounded by Randolph, about 200 acres now in the possession of the said Thomas Green, being part of a larger tract formerly granted to the said Peter Davis by letters patent. Signed - Peter Davis. Witness - Edward (E his mark) Hambleton, William Green, John Mason,m Joshua (X his mark) Blanton, Date recorded not mentioned.
      Peter Davis' daughter, married the s/o Thomas Green. We conclude the land mentioned here to be adjacent to the Randolph property in Turkey Island, Prince Edward County. These families have ties to the Carters, Watkins, Powells, Bigger's of Halifax Co., VA

    3. [S3] Mary Frances Reynolds Eggleston.
      Thomas Davis married Mary Carter, d/o Giles and Hannah Crewes Carter;
      Peter Davis married Catherine Priest; I wonder if both of these Davis Boys are related. Their descendants are found as friends, neighbors, and intermarry. Giles Carter, f/o Mary is awarded land for transportation of John Green who is said to be the father of Thomas.
