She was born in Halifax County and retired from Southerland Hosiery and J-Lin Hosiery Mills. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mebane. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Louise Cole, of Mebane, formerly of Winston Salem; and two sisters, Elsie Arendall of Halifax Va. And Alice Wells of Gibsonville NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; William Thomas Reeves and Minnie Lee Carter Reeves; husband, Arthur W. Cole; Sisters, Annie Duling and Willie Puryear; Brother, Owen Thomas Reeves; Sister in Law, Lelia F. Reeves and brother in laws, Marion Duling, Oliver Arendall, Maynard Wells and Stephen Puryear. A graveside funeral will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., at Halifax Memorial Gardens in South Boston, Va.
