The children of Richard are not in order since some were listed by order of date of death. James and William are given last since their descendants are the ones that follow. The father, Richard, was first a member of the Baptists, according to "The Browns of Nottingham", then later he joined the Puritans, being a teacher among both. Through his contact with William Dewsbury he became a Quaker.
