    1. [S107] Family Histories, Robert Newton Turpin.
      Before 1860 Robert and Sarah Elizabeth Lowery moved from Indiana to McLean County, Illinois. Sarah died on 26 Jan 1872, in Rippey (Green County, Iowa) at the approximate age of 49. Her youngest child was only eight years old. She is buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Green County, Iowa
      Robert married again only a year later, this time to Mary Ellen Leonard. He and Mary Ellen moved to Mariaville (Rock County), Nebraska perhaps following Mary Amanda, Robert's daughter, and her husband William Cassius Porter. Mary Ellen was 38 years younger than her husband and had several Children, a complete second family for Robert.
