      SUSANNA CARTER MOORE SHEPPERD
      Born June 17, 1786 in Virginia to William George Carter and Unity Bates. The family moved to Wayne County, Kentucky. Susan married first May 20, 1811 to John Steele Moore, a successful business man in Monticello, Wayne County, Kentucky, who was born in Washington County, Virginia They were the parents of UNITY BATES MOORE, EVALINE J. MOORE
      WILLIAM PERRY MOORE, SARAH C. MOORE.
      John Moore died in 1830 and in 1834 Susan married Isaac Shepperd. This marriage ended in separation with Susan moving to Lincoln County, Kentucky in 1860. Her daughters Evaline & Sarah both lived in Stanford. Susan died March 4, 1868 in Lincoln County and is buried in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, in Lincoln County.
