      CALLIE HANKINS EANES

      Callie Hankins Eanes, 325 Woodhaven Road, Martinsville, Va. died Monday, August 11, 2014 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center, Stuart, Va. She was born on September 20, 1927 in Henry County, Va. to the late Nannie Marlowe Hankins and George Hutcherson Hankins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Eanes; daughter, Sandra Kay Eanes and brothers, Daniel Hankins and Hill Lee Hankins.

      She was a member of County Line Christian Church, Axton, Va. and later became a member of Chatham Heights Christian Church, Martinsville, Va.

      Surviving are her daughter, Ginger Eanes Oyler, Winston-Salem, N.C.; sons, Melvin Kent Eanes, Danville, Va., Marshall Stanley Eanes and Bruce Randall Eanes both of Martinsville, Va.; sister, Georgia Hankins Moyer of Forest, Va.; brother, Lester Hankins, Beltsville, Md.; grandchildren, Christy Riggs Harnsberger, Robert Bradley Riggs, Melvin Cody Eanes and Carly Page Eanes and four great-grandchildren, Kendal Bryce Harnsberger, Kyleigh Grace Harnsberger, Robert Bowen Riggs and Haleigh Dawn Sellers.

      The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel with Minister Buck Wardle and Minister Dean Ashby officiating. Burial will be at County Line Christian Church Cemetery, Axton, Va. The family will receive friends, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
