Alexander Cunningham married Easter Mary Michaux, daughter of Abraham Michaux and Susanne Rochet....Easter Mary Michaux was of French Huguenot descent. Susanne's father was Moses Rochet (Rochette). Mother was Jean Rondeau. Moses smuggled Susanne out of France to Holland during the Protestant persecution in France. Susanne later married Abraham Michaux, also a refugee from Sedan France, and sailed from Holland to England in 1701 following "their friend, William of Orange", to England. Abraham and Susanne came to vicinity of Richmond Virginia in 1703 when William and Mary gave a land grant of 10,000 acres on the James River to the Huguenots. Their youngest child, Easter Mary, was born in Virginia and she and Alexander Cunningham had ten children.
