      Barksdale

This one is confusing. The Nathaniel Barksdale in Halifax County who is associated with Catawba Creek is associated with yet another William Moore
family. This William died in 1834. This William had father Thomas who died in 1813 in Madison Co Alabama but who was in Bedford Co and Halifax around 1800 to purchase land. Thomas's daughter married Barney Duff in 1801 in Lunenburg Co. Two other daughters married a Brown and an Owen. William died in 1834 with several children. His sons include Barnett B. who went to Greenbriar Co W. Va. William G. Moore who married Virginia Taylor. Thomas P. who married Susan Daniel in 1835 in Halifax. John W. Moore who we know nothing about. Please note that William's daughter Harriett also married a Thomas Moore who moved to moved to Charlotte, then Mecklenburg Co., Va., and
then we lose them. We would like DNA samples of these families as well.
