  Although Maurice Randals is not mentioned in the will of his father, [Amos Reynolds], and the spelling of his name is slightly different, along with the proximity evidence, a dna match from his descendant identifies his place in this family. The Methodist Protestant Church at Whitehouse was organized in 1841, the members then being Mr. and Mrs. George Almond, Rev. .lolin Foster, Mrs. Eldridge;, Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Wlson, Mrs. Huffman, Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Noble. The first (Quarterly Conference was held at Stony Ridge, near Whitehouse, 24 Nov 1849, of which John B. Peat was Chairman, and P. B. Scott Secretary. Among the early members were Luke and Wm. Tipton, John Jones, Elisha Trowbridge, Nelson Coulson, John Officer, Alonzo Crosby, Matthew Cowling, Thos. Beney, P. B. Scott, David Lucas and Daniel Hubbell. The first Preachers and Ministers in charge were John B. Peat, Wm. Tipton, John Jones, Klisha Trowbridge, R. H. Davis, J. N. Kidd, S. B. Abbott, M. S. REYNOLDS, S. Elliott, B. F. Tucker, C. F. Bradley, Rufus A. Washburn, G. Scott. In 1872 the Society erected a house of worship, at a cost of $1,800. Worthington's Death Certificate list James Reynolds as his father and Jane Page as his mother; the informant is daughter Hattie McDonald, daughter of Worthington Blackborn REYNOLDS and Alzina Almira Martindale.

The latter, John Milton Reynolds was born in Rodman, whence he removed to Clayton, where he died in 1888, aged 75 years. His second wife, Sarah Benedict, survives, aged 67 years. He married, first, Catharine Tobias, and their children were George W., Jesse T., Amos, Laura A., and John. The children by his second wife were Philo, Horace G., George W., Sarah C., and Elmer E. George W. Reynolds married Mary, daughter of Alex. and Deneise (Lavar) Lavack, of Gouverneur, and now resides on the homestead farm with his mother. Philo Reynolds, who died in 1881, married Estelle, daughter of Loren and Margaret (Saulsbury) Fox, of Brownville, and they had two children, Elmer D. and Clarence P."
