Pollock's Company, Fredericksburg Virginia Light Artillery Battery, Pegram's Battalion, Artillery, 3rd Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A. Residence Richmond, VA. Enlisted on 5/11/1861 in Richmond, he was mustered into Captain Marye's Company, "Hampden" Virginia Light Artillery as a Private. (Captain Marye was a fellow Fredericksburger.) On 7/24/1861 he was transferred into Captain Carter Braxton's Company, "Fredericksburg" Virginia Light Artillery. He reported for duty 7/30/1861. Reenlisted for 2 more years' service on 2/25/1862; $50 Reenlistment Bounty due. He was transferred on 4/6/1862 back into the Hampden Virginia Light Artillery.
