My line is from John Reynolds and Anne Holbrooke. It goes John, John, Jonathan, Ebenezer, Jonathan b. 1778 who m. Susanna Billings. Beyond Reynolds Family Assn Annual Report and Ebenezer's Probate where Jonathan and his brother Nathan were administrators (but not specifically identified as his sons--at least I don't see it in what I can read) can anyone point me to proofs available that link Jonathan to his father Ebenezer??? Ebenezer Reynolds m. Sarah Eggleston and her father Ichabod Eggleston held an office in Stonington, CT during the Rev. War and is proven a DAR Patriot. My only weak link is proving that Jonathan who m. Susanna Billings is the son of Ebenezer. Any help??? Thanks.
Cynthia Carnevale Montgomery That's okay. Long shot. I'm happy that Reynolds Family Assn has the line correct. DAR may take RFA along with the probate where Jonathan and his brother Nathan were administrators. There's also a book that is 100 years old Encyclopedia of Biography for prominent men that has someone descended from this line that treats Ebenezer and his son Jonathan. And he and his wife are buried in the same cemetery as Ebenezer and Sarah Eggleston Reynolds (Eccleston Cemetery). But if there was a Y-DNA study available that proves Jonathan is son of Ebenezer that would clinch it.
Tommy Reynolds Hi, Cynthia. Thanks for sharing!! I'm sure you're aware, but I'm sharing for others this resource on your John Reynolds and Anne Holbrook of Weymouth. https://www.reynoldsfamily.org/line11/index.php. This is on the public-facing part of the RFA website. Much more info (dozens of annuals with original Reynolds research) is available on the members only side.
