      Catherine2 Beazley (James1) was born in Orange Co., Virginia July 13, 1772.(115) She died May 7, 1810. She married twice. Catherine married Fielding Neal November 12, 1787 in Orange Co., Virginia. Fielding was born about 1769. Fielding was the son of Charles Neal. His estate was inventoried April 28, 1792 in Orange Co., Virginia. Catherine married Jacob Paul August 15, 1793 in Orange Co., Virginia. He bought property from James Beazley April 25, 1796 in Orange Co., Virginia. In a side note to this deed transaction, the entry refers to Abraham Paul as the son of Jacob Paul. The assets of Jacob Paul were ordered distributed April 1, 1823 in Orange Co., Virginia.
      The estate of Catherine Beazley was appraised July 23, 1810 in Orange Co., Virginia. Catherine Beazley and Fielding Neal had the following child:
      i. Mary3 Neal was born October 20, 1789. Mary married Joseph Braden March 22, 1806 in Orange Co., Virginia. Mary Neal was the ward mentioned in a guardian account transaction June 24, 1797 in Orange Co., Virginia. Mary Neal was the ward mentioned in a guardian account transaction February 22, 1802 in Orange Co., Virginia.

      Biography

      JAMES BEAZLEY, a son of Henry [also seen as s/o William Beasley] and the brother of Bennet [not proven] was born probably in Essex County, Virginia, say 1715-20. One website gives his birth date as ?10 April 1725? but without documentation .295 He died in Orange County, Virginia, on or about 12 August 1803, according to a family Bible record of his son James that was at one time a part of his Revolutionary War pension file.296 He married in Orange County about 1745 (possibly 19 May) ANN (REYNOLDS?), probable daughter of Cornelius Reynolds, whose wife, Martha, was said to be Martha (Beasley).297 James and Ann would have been first cousins once-removed. Ann is said to have been born on 2 November 1725 and died in Orange County, Virginia, on 27 February 1810, from the same Revolutionary War application.298
      This researcher thinks it is likely William Beasley and Henry Beasley are brothers; both having sons named James. Much more research is needed. If these individuals are brothers; the DNA would match either of them and any other male siblings. So the statement that James Beasley is a match to Henry is not evidence of parentage.
