    Married
    • Toumbstone for Sarah Runnals reports her death as Feb 1750; George has twins baptised by Cuthbertson in Dec 1751, which is almost immediately upon the Reverend's arrival. Sarah Runnals who is named wife in the Will of George Reynolds may have died in 1750, and already dead when Cuthbertson noted the baptisms of her children. George Reynolds' will names only son John [baptised by Cuthbertson] and daughters, Mary and Elizabeth [baptised by Cuthbertson]. Will for George is probated in 1752. If there are other children not named in the Will, they may already have received their portion of his estate.
    Notes
    • Sarah Reynolds, buried in the Muddy Run Presbyterian Cemetery, is the only Reynolds noted in the occupants. No Neeleys, No McClanahans, No Devins -- they have all moved South on the Great Wagon Road.
    • George Reynolds of Antrim, Green Castle Pennsylvania dies in 1752; Sarah, his wife, in 1750. Land received by Thomas Reynolds, SR. 30 Aug 1753 may indicate this 600 A tract, [250 A deeded to Thomas SR.] is part of a parcel owned by George Reynolds. This land transaction is referred to in the 1767 transfer of land on Indian Creek to Thomas Reynolds, JR. [in Mecklenburg, NC] [adjacent] Henry Reynolds and John Reynolds are mentioned in this transaction. If Thomas is the s/o George Reynolds, he would have to have been born by 1732. If Thomas Reynolds, JR is 21 in 1767, he would have been born by 1746. If this Thomas Reynolds is the s/o George Reynolds, he is an older child as would be John and Henry Reynolds, mentioned in this deed abstract in Mecklenburg County, N. Carolina, 1763 Volume 4, pp.303-306: 24 & 25 Feb 1767. It is likely then, George Reynolds of Antrim, Green Castle PA, is the father of Hugh Reynolds of Pittsylvania and Thomas, Henry, John Reynolds of Mecklenburg, North Carolina.

Cuthbertson Diary Shows Marriage Of Hugh Reynolds and Mary Neeley, daughter of William in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania and George Reynolds and wife twins are Baptized; Proximity evidence and research suggests George Reynolds is the father of Hugh of Pittsylvania. Likely a 2nd unknown wife, as Hugh and the Nealeys and Devins and McClanahans migrate to Virginia and points South.

Cuthbertson Diary names George Reynolds as father of twins, boy and girl. Elizabeth and John; presume Elizabeth named for mother; maybe? These two families are the only Reynolds mentioned in the Cuthbertson Diaries. [must be related] Further, evidence shows they were both Presbyterian.

Christening Record identifies John and his twin Sister, Elizabeth.
