The 1787 Cenus of Virginia, Amelia Co., Tax List "A" District of George Booker, Comm'r:
Isaac Pollard, no slaves, 2 cattle - responsible for self

1787 - Census of Virginia, p. 384 - Isaac Polard; in the Amelia County Tithables and since liable for tax he was over 21 years old
1792 - Amelia Co., Will Book 4, p. 339; Issac Pollard and Amborse Jeter witnesses to the 18 Nov 1792 will of David Asselin
(Although he appears in the Amelia Co., records, he does not appear in the Amelia Co. census for 1810, 20, 30. or 40.)
1828 - Amelia Co. Will Book 11, p. 337; 23 Dec 1828 Isaac along with brother Zachariah signs statement declining to serve as executor of father's estate; witnessed by Elijah Deaton and Robert Pollard
1829 - Unrecorded Deeds and other documents of Amelia Co., Virginia, 1750, 1902, by Gibson Jefferson McConnaughey, p. 122: Deed of Gift dated 1 Sept 1829 from Isaac Pollard to his son, Joseph Pollard and his children for love and affection lends for his son's lifetime four negroes, the children of one of them, and their increase. Witnesses Alexander Allen, John Clay, and Dearen Piller, proven 25 Feb 1830.
1830 - Amelia Chancery Causes: Joseph Pollard heirs v. Joseph Pollard admn., Amelia Co., 1830-06 - Isaac was the first listed complainant in the 1830 bill in chancery filed in Amelia Co. by the heirs of Joseph Pollard.
1842 - Joseph Foster Rev. War Application - "Isaac Pollard of Amelia County Virginia (aged 94 years)" made an affidavit 8 Sept 1842 in connection with a Revolutionary War land claim made by Larkin Foster based on the service of his brother, Joseph, who was killed in the Revolution (available at the Library of Virginia WebPage). Larkin was the son of George Pollard and Susanna Pollard, and was likely the first cousin of Isaac.

Year of Birth - the above affidavit indicates he was 94 in Sept 1842, which would make the year of his birth 1748. However, the will of his grandfather Isaac Morris, written Dec 1749, refers to his mother by her maiden name. It appears that his age as stated in the affidavit was exaggerated. He may have been named for his grandfather who died shortly before his birth. I am using a birth year of abt. 1750.

Pg 8 of Genealogical Abstracts from 18th Century VA Newspapers by Robert K. Headley Jr.
"ANDREWS Family, Cumberland Co. Court of QS (quarterly session), 3 May 1794, in chancery Robert SMITH (pltf) vs. Wm and Garnet ANDREWS and Nancy ANDREWS who hath intermarried with Ambrose RANSONE, Jn. GRIFFIN and Mary his wife, and Nancy, Mary and Jos. POLLARD infants and chil. of Isaac and Susannah POLLARD by Isaac POLLARD their guardian and next friend (The Virginia Gazette and General Advertiser 1 Jul 1795)".

The above chancery cause, I belive, indicates that Issac married Susannah Andrews, that Susannah died before May 1794, and that they had three children, Nancy, Mary, and Joseph. Those children would have been heirs of Susannah's father. The 1 Sept 1829 deed referenced above shows that Isaac had a son, Joseph, and I have not identified another Isaac Pollard living in the 1790's in central Virginia. I have not reviewed the court records in Amelia and Cumberland to see if Issac was formally appointed as guardian for his children.
