      Loaned slaves to daughters Mary R. Rice and Elizabeth F. Watkins, to descend to their children. Slaves to sons William L. and Thomas Stamps. Also to son William L. tracts of land in Pittsylvania Co: 405 acres which my father owed at his death, 160 acres bought of Henry Wilson, 240 acres bought of William Burgess, also 1/2 of saw & grist mill and 1/2 of 16 acres around the mill. To son Thomas the following: 240 acres on which I now live, 486 acres bought of Thomas Hoge & wife, 300 acres bought from the estate of Edmund Richardson, 135 acres bought of James Farley, 86 acres bought of Archelus Whitlock, 40 acres bought of Robert Freman, 70 acres bought of the heirs of Banister Freeport, and 1/2 of the saw & grist mill and the 16 acres around it. Daughter Mary R. Rice a tract of 205 acres bought of estate of Gains. Daughter Elizabeth F. Watkins 50 acres south of Dan River bought of the Estate of John Lewis. Samuel Watkins and Izard B. Rice, Executors. Wit: A. J. Walker, Daniel A. Penwick, Warner K. Lewis.

      Thomas STAMPS and Anna Beaufort RAGLAND were married on 2 January 1809 in Halifax County, Virginia. Anna Beaufort RAGLAND, daughter of Evan RAGLAND and Susanna LIPSCOMB, was born about 1777. She died on 9 January 1834 at the age of 57 in Halifax County, Virginia.
