The parents of Beverly I are Thomas Henry Barksdale and Judith Beverly. Thomas was born 1720 in Tidewater, Richmond [Henrico], Virginia. He died May 12, 1788 in either Camden Parish, or Pittsylvania, in Henry County, Virginia. His grave is unknown as of 9/2013. Josephs wife was Judith Crawford
Joseph's first purchased land in what became Pitts co at the time Lunenburg in 1747 on turkey cock cr near the current pitts/henry line. I would assume he moved into this area shortly after as he pops up numerous times in the 1750-1760 in halifax and pitts records
