      Maj John Coles
The fellow was the first in my family to come to the "colonies." My reserach of our family's shows that he emigrated to Va. ~1730. and was interred in St. John's Church in Richmond, 27 years later, his nephew, Patrick Henry gave his "Give me liberty or give me death" speech here. According to the folks at St. John's his grave is (now) under the church. He lived in Richmond on 22nd street between Broad and Marshall. Enniscorthy was his summer home. He was also a Major in the Virginia militia.
