He was a tobacco planter on the York River, York Co, VA, and owned "Oak Hill Plantation" in York Co, VA. He received land from the King of England as a "headright". {"headright" normally meant a new immigrant}
John married Hannah (Ford) in about 1665 in York Co, VA.
