      "pp. THIS INDENTURE made the Nineth day of Janry: One thousand six hundred ninety and nine Between HARRY BEVERLEY of the County of MIDDLESEX Gent. of
      48 the one part and JAMES REYNOLDS of the County of GLOCESTER on ye other part Witnesseth that the said HARRY BEVERLEY for ye sum of One hundred pounds Sterl. doth sell unto he (sic) said JAMES REYNOLDS his heires & assignes one thousand & seventeen acres of land being in Essex County being part of a devidend of land formerly granted
      by Patent to Majr. ROBERT BEVERLEY deced, bounded as followeth, beining (sic) a great white Oake standing by the side of GILSONS MAINE RUN below the Plantacon called BEVERLEYs QUARTER, thence up ye sd Run to a white Oake being a corner tree of THOMAS BLANTONs land, thence South West to a white oake near a branch that goes up to JNO.       Acknowledged by HARRY BEVERLEY & ELIZA: his WIFE by FRA: MERIWETHER her Attorney relinquished her right of Dower thereto in Essex County Court ye 10th day of Sep 1700.
      KNOW ALL MEN that I HARRY BEVERLEY do bind me selfe my heirs unto JAMES REYNOLDS his heires in sum of Two hundred pounds Sterl. Witness my hand & seale this 9th day of Janry: 1699. The condition of this obligacon is that if HARRY BEVERLEY at all times hereafter keep all condicons on his part menconed in Indenture hereof without fraud or covin, Then this obligacon to be void or else to stand in full force.

      George Stubblefield (d.1752) about 1736 married Catherine Beverley, the second daughter of Harry and Elizabeth (Smith) Beverley, and lived in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Iowa and elsewhere.
