      GRYMES Middlesex County
      The Rev. Charles Grymes of Glouchester and York counties, had a son, John, who married Alice, d/o Lawrence and Sarah Townley. The latter was a d/o Col. Augustine Warner, Sr., of 'Warner Hall'. John Grymes died 28 Aug 1709 aged 69 years. His eldest son, Hon. John Grymes of Brandon', Middlesex was b. in 1693, d. 2 Nov 1749. He was Burgess for Middlesex 1718. He married Lucy, d/o Phillip Ludwell of Greensprings. Frequent mention of the Grymes family is contained in the Parish Register of Christ Church, Middlesex. The will of John Grymes, 2nd, dated 1747, bears a wax seal with arms. Charles Grymes, the immmigrant, patented land in Lancaster Co., in 1653, 1654, and 1657....

      Col. Augustine Warner, b. 28 Nov 1610, died 24 Dec 1674, came to Virginia in 1628. He was Justice of York 1652 and of Gloucester 1656, ...He named his home in Gloucester 'Warner Hall'. He married Mary LNU who died 11 Aug 1662 and had issue, Col. Augustine, 2nd, bor 3 Jul 1652 died 19 June 1681. He was Speaker of the House of Brugesses 1675-7 and also a member of the Council. He married Mildred, d/o Col. George Reade, and had issue Augustine, b 17 Jan 1666, died 19 Jun 1681....
