!NAME:Probate Records for Estate of Edward Wade, Wade,
Edward: probate records, Georgia. Green County, Greene
County, Georgia, Will Book A, Page 84-85
In the name of Good, Amen. I, Edward Wade of the County of
Greene and State of Georgia, being in perfect health and of
perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God, calling
unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is
appointed for all men once to die, doe make this my last
will and testament, that is to say, first of all, I give
and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that
gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried
in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my
executors, nothing doubting but at the general
resurrection, I shall receive the same by the mighty power
of God, and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it
hath pleased God to bless me within this life, I give,
demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and
form ---
Item: I lend to my beloved wife Mary Wade during her life
or widowhood, all my estate of lands, Negroes, stock of all
kinds and all my household furniture and movables, and at
her death or marriage my will is that all my aforementioned
estate be sold to the highest bidder amongst the legatees
only, and all the money arising therefrom to be equally
divided amongst all my children, that is David Wade, Lucey
Nolin, Grissell Bennett, Peyton Wade, Edward Wade, Mary
Burford, Thomas Wade, Chloe Easley and Anna williams, and
if any of the said children should die without heir
lawfully begotten of their body, then their part to equally
divided among the rest of the living children or their
heirs.
At the general division of the estate it is my will that
all the rest of my children be made up equal to my eldest
son David Wade who hath received thirty pounds, my daughter
Grissell Bennett fifteen pounds, my son Peyton Wade twenty
pounds, my son Edward Wade fifteen pounds, my daughter Mary
Burford ten pounds, my son Thomas Wade fifteen pounds, my
daughter Chloe Easley fifteen pounds, and my daughter Anna
Williams six pounds which is to be counted as so much
received of their part at a general division.
And further my will is that all my aforementioned children
or their heirs shall have timely notice to attend when my
afore mentioned estate shall be sold.
I give to my deceased daughter Christian Dalton's heirs one
shilling sterling money to be paid to them by my executors
hereafter named.
And lastly, I do constitute and ordain my two sons, Peyton
Wade and Thomas Wade sole executors of this my last will
and testament. I do utterly hereby, disallow, revoke and
disannul all and every other former testaments, wills,
legacies, bequests and executors by me in any wise named
before; willed and wills and bequeated, ratifying and
confirming this and no other to be my last will and
testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal this eighteenth day of February, Anno Domonio, One
thousand seven hundred and ninety.

Wade, deceased, agree and themselves nominated and charged
in the presence of Thomas Baldwin Esquire, David Wade and
Peyton Wade to act as administrators of the estate of the
said Edward Wade, deceased, and according by letters of

the Estate of Edward Wade deceased of Greene County.
A record of the direction given to Bryan Ward Nowlin by his
children informing him to receive their monies of their
Grandfather Edward Wade's Estate deceased, in Georgia.
To the executors or administrators of the estate of Edward
Wade, deceased, in the State of Georgia. As it was the good
pleasure of our grandfather to will to our deceased
mother's heirs an equal part of his estate, it is each of
our devices that it be given up into the hands of our
father, that he may have the improving of it for the
benefit of our younger brothers and sisters as well for
them as us. And to be at his satisfaction to give it to us
and them as he thinks proper. Given under our hands this
19th of November 1791. Joseph Devin, Elizabeth Devin,
Stephen Bennett, Lucy Bennett, James Nowlin, Mary Nowlin,

Probate Records for Estate of Edward Wade, Wade,
Edward: probate records, Georgia. Green County, Greene County, Georgia, Will Book A, Page 84-85
In the name of Good, Amen. I, Edward Wade of the County of Greene and State of Georgia, being in perfect health and of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God, calling unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, doe make this my last will and testament, that is to say, first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors, nothing doubting but at the general
resurrection, I shall receive the same by the almighty power of God, and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me within this life, I give, devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and
form ---
Item: I lend to my beloved wife Mary Wade during her life or widowhood, all my estate of lands, Negroes, stock of all kinds and all my household furniture and movables, and at her death or marriage my will is that all my aforementioned
estate be sold to the highest bidder amongst the legatees only, and all the money arising therefrom to be equally divided amongst all my children, that is David Wade, Lucey Nolin, Grissell Bennett, Peyton Wade, Edward Wade, Mary Burford, Thomas Wade, Chloe Easley and Anna williams, and if any of the said children should die without heir lawfully begotten of their body, then their part to equally divided among the rest of the living children or their heirs.
At the general division of the estate it is my will that all the rest of my children be made up equal to my eldest son David Wade who hath received thirty pounds, my daughter Grissell Bennett fifteen pounds, my son Peyton Wade twenty
pounds, my son Edward Wade fifteen pounds, my daughter Mary Burford ten pounds, my son Thomas Wade fifteen pounds, my daughter Chloe Easley fifteen pounds, and my daughter Anna Williams six pounds which is to be counted as so much received of their part at a general division. And further my will is that all my aforementioned children
or their heirs shall have timely notice to attend when my afore mentioned estate shall be sold.
I give to my deceased daughter Christian Dalton's heirs one shilling sterling money to be paid to them by my executors hereafter named.
And lastly, I do constitute and ordain my two sons, Peyton Wade and Thomas Wade sole executors of this my last will and testament. I do utterly hereby, disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequests and executors by me in any wise named
before; willed and wills and bequeated, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of February, Anno Domonio, One thousand seven hundred and ninety.

15th November 1791, The legatees, all present, of Edward Wade, deceased, agree and themselves nominated and charged in the presence of Thomas Baldwin Esquire, David Wade and Peyton Wade to act as administrators of the estate of the said Edward Wade, deceased, and according by letters of administration are granted to David Wade and Peyton Wade on the Estate of Edward Wade deceased of Greene County. A record of the direction given to Bryan Ward Nowlin by his children informing him to receive their monies of their Grandfather Edward Wade's Estate deceased, in Georgia.
To the executors or administrators of the estate of Edward Wade, deceased, in the State of Georgia. As it was the good pleasure of our grandfather to will to our deceased mother's heirs an equal part of his estate, it is each of our devices that it be given up into the hands of our father, that he may have the improving of it for the benefit of our younger brothers and sisters as well for
them as us. And to be at his satisfaction to give it to us and them as he thinks proper. Given under our hands this 19th of November 1791. Joseph Devin, Elizabeth Devin, Stephen Bennett, Lucy Bennett, James Nowlin, Mary Nowlin, Alexander Devin, Lucy Devin, Peyton Nowlin, David Nowlin
