JoB^ [6] (SamueU), had settled as a farmer in Bradford with his father, as noticed in the latter's will, 1745 ; also, before this, "June 6, 1743," he had purchased of William Eastman for
" £219 14:8,, old tener, 15 acres and 34 perches of land in Bradford, adjoining his father's." He doubtless bought out his brother Stephen's share of the original homestead, which ever afterwards,
increased as above, was called after his own name.
He was admitted to full communion with the Cong.
Church in Bradford, Oct. 3, 1736. His 1st wife, Abigail, whom he m. 1733, d. Oct. 14, 1753. He m., 2d, Mary Woodman, Oct. 5, 1758. The following is an abstract of his Will, made at Bradford, Mar. 9, 1770^ and proved at Salem, June 3, 1776, soon
after his death (aged 64), of which we have no nearer date : ?
" To my wife Mary the use of one cow and four sheep during her widowhood, ? to be kept by my two sons, ? and the household goods that she brought with her: the remainder of the goods (household) to be divided equally between ray two daughters Marther (Martha) and Sarah, with £6 13s. 4d. to be paid to each of them by my two sons, within three
years after my decease. All my real estate in Bradford or else where to my sons, in equal division. To my three daughters Abigail, Phebe and
Elizabeth, five shillings apiece, with what they have already had, to be paid at my decease. Also, to the heirs of my daughter, Mary Bussel, deceased, the sum of five shillings apiece, to be paid at my decease. My two sons, John and Thomas, are appointed Executors " [Clerk of Probate .wrote the former ** Job," by mistake] and are directed " to give my wife, above named, a comfortable support in sickness and health during her life, and a decent burial at death, in case she dies my widow."
Receipts given by the above legatees, except Sarah, June 4 and 10, 1776, alluding to ''the last Will and testament of our honored Father, Mr. Job. Runnels." Children all b. in Bradford, as per Records.

22. John, b. Feb. 27, 1736 (Town Rec. says, by mistake, 1736) ; bap. Feb. 29, 1736 (Ch. Recs.). He was in both the old French and the Revolutionary wars. Admitted, with Sarah his wife, to full communion with the Bradford Church, Nov. 20, 1774, He m., Ist, Sarah Kimball, June 8, 1768, after his first military servlce. She d., and he m., 2d, ** late in life," Mrs. Rebecca Kimball, of
Boxford, 1807. He d. at the old homestead, 1821, aged 85.

30. Sarah^ [7] (Samuel), was admitted to full communion with the Cong. Church in Bradford, as " Sarah, dau. of Samuel Runnels, July 2 (4), 1732" ; and was m. by the Rev. Joseph Parsons to Nathaniel Lakeman, of Boxford, Jan. 28, 1734. Resided
in Bradford, where all their children were born.
