      REYNOLDS TO TUDOR DEED (1884)
      Recorded in Deed Book 23, page 231, Patrick County, Virginia.

      This deed made the 28th of March 1884 between H. H. Reynolds of the first part and John Tuder of the second part witnesseth that the said H. H.
      Reynolds in consideration of the sum of (635.00) six hundred thirty five dollars in one, two and three years from this date March 28th, 1884 with
      interest thereon from the said date for the true payment where of a lendor lien is here by reserved upon the land herein mentioned to pay to Edward
      Tatum any part of the above purchase money he may advance for the said Tuder on the land, and also for any portion of the purchase money thereof that may remain unpaid to the said H. H. Reynolds at the expiration of the date, Three years from this date March 28th 1884. Therefore according to the said agreements I do convey unto the said John Tuder a tract of land situated in the County of Patrick and State of Virginia, and lying on the Irish side of Mill Creek which was a portion of the land allotted to me from my father's estate, and known as the Franse land, and bounded as follows to wit:
      Beginning on a poplar on a branch in Tuder's line, that line S73 E88 pos. crossing the Mill road and bridge and same course continued on to pointers on
      branch (a corner to Perry McArthur Shelton tract) down the branch N34 pos. to bend N22 E70 pos. N28 E12 poles N28 E15-3/4 pos. to a pine bush S40 E36 pos. to pointers on the top of the ridge N85 E37 pos. to a black oak N52 E6 pos. to a willow on the Irish bank of Mill Creek then down the said creek as it meanders 152 poles to the old Lee line with that line S57 W to a corner near the foot of the hill in John Tuder's own line then his line as it meanders to the beginning containing 63 and one half acres be the same more or less, with the right that was reserved to Tatum and Critz in the sale of this land to keep up the mill road that passes through the said land, they having previously bought the right of way from France for the said road with a general warrantie [sic] to the property here in conveyed. Given under my hand
      and seal the date here in before mentioned.
